I'm a Happy Smily Missionary! Like you see in the pictures!

Imagine dirt roads with cement gutters, but no sidewalks- or paved roads with tiny walkways. Really brightly colored houses stuck together except for an occasional hole in the wall walkway to cut through, trash here and there in the green and flowers. Loud music, hot sun and wet air.and amongst it all- PEOPLE. Loud, strong personality, beautiful and dark Dominican people.  And then two super white american girls, with black tags, smiling at everyone.

I reach two months of this tomorrow. So that is cool.

Apart from the intense love I am experiencing for my companion, investigators, the members and all people here, there isn't much to say. It is just that I am so happy to be here. With them.

But with all good things... you know... opposition and stuff. I think we are going to be leaving some of our investigators soon. Investigators who had dates even! My heart bleeds.

My new companion, Hermana Hansen from Chicago, is SUPER awesome. She is young in the mission too. Like, finished her own training two weeks ago young. We get along really well. This is going to roll. Real excited.
We are hoping for some weddings and baptisms late this transfer- but as of yet we are pushing this boulder. I will keep you posted.

Don't forget that a grateful heart is a happy heart.

Envio mi amor!
