- Keep a notebook on you the weeks leading up to leaving. Because you think of a billion things you either need to get, do, or pack. The notes you make will help you remember them all.
- I have gotten so excited about my mission and less worried as I have learned more and more about the country. I recommend talking to people and doing research. I've had some great experiences this way and even made new friends.
- You are supposed to label all of your clothes and belongings. This can go so much faster with your own iron on tags. You can do simple or a little more intense. I liked the cute, random silhouettes. No one really sees them but you and your companion, so why not add some personality?
- I loved having a professional photo shoot, just a thought. In case you were considering it or anything. The pictures are nice to display at a farewell party, distribute with your address, and leave with your family to look at while you're gone.

Things I am Glad I did before leaving:
- I made the temple a goal, a big one. My greatest advice would be to go as often as you can. Practice feeling close to God and learn as much as you can about Him.
- I spent a lot of time with my family. They are my biggest support team and are everything to me. If you have similar relationships, and even if you don't, I highly recommend doing your best to be with them while you can.
Just remember, there is a time that you must go and can do no more to prepare. That is the time to forget about what you could have done, and get excited about what you will soon do. Things will work out.
