This
week was... FAST. And pretty. And full.
We had Gerika's baptism- performed by her brother Kevin (baptized
less than a month ago) When her mom signed the form, she also said that maybe
she too would be baptized some day. SHE NEVER LISTENED to the sisters when they
would share before. And now that four of her six are members and the other two
have a date... you could say her heart is a little softer. We have a Family
Home Evening with them tonight, and she is coming!
I LOVE HERMANA HERNANDEZ. Guys, I say it every time, but this
transfer really has been the fastest one. I don't want to change companions
yet! She and I seemed to skip the getting-used-to-you phase and hit the ground
running. She is full of love, energy and hard work. A stellar example and I am
learning so much!
A few little random details to bring us all a little closer:
- I am wearing black and white stripes today.
- At a Family Night we had yesterday, our less active took Hermana Hernandez' cup and finished off her soda. Without noticing it wasn’t hers. hehe. We laughed when we left.
- Our toilet doesn't have a toilet seat.
- We took our bunk bed apart... I kinda sleep on the floor...
- I set a confetti trap for my companion's 20th birthday (also her 3 years baptized) AND IT WORKED.
- Hermana Schmidt and I live in the same house. She worked at Einsteins when I was at Lauren James...
- I eat peanut-butter and apples, almost every day.
Turns out, the mission is like life, a movie, and a whole bunch of
happy mixed into one. Oh, and work too.
Hope you all enjoy your Family Night! I know I will...
Mucho amor,
Hermana Charity Paige Meldrum
